Children's Tylenol products are being pulled off the shelves tonight because of concerns about correct doses. 7Healthcast reporter Dr. Deanna Lites has more.

The makers of Tylenol are working with the FDA on this voluntary recall.

The problem isn't with the medication, it's with the packaging.

Johnson & Johnson said the concern is with the packaging information, that it is confusing and could lead to youngsters getting overly high doses of the medicine.

The recall applies to all lots and flavors of the following:

Children's Tylenol Meltaways 80-miligram dose that come in bottles and blister packs.

Children's Tylenol Softchews that come in 80-milligram blister packs.

Junior Tylenol Meltaways that come in 160-miligram blister packs.

Johnson & Johnson said some blister packs have cavities that hold one tablet, while others hold two tablets. This can cause confusion over whether one tablet or two tablets are needed for the recommended dose.

Even though Tylenol is an over the counter medicine, taking too much can be dangerous. Overdosing on Tylenol's key ingredient, acetaminophen, can cause liver damage.
