Requirements: 7 NBC and CW 56 in Boston is seeking an AVID Editor to edit nightly news topical promos, in-show news teases, sales projects, tag syndicated promos, composite graphics and build animations as assigned. Must have strong communication skills and be able to meet tight deadlines. Requires a thorough understanding of AVID Media Composer, AfterEffects and Final Cut Pro. 3-5 years of television post-production experience required. College degree preferred.

Title: FT-Writer/Producer
Requirements: Ideal candidate will write, produce and edit video for newscast promotions. This includes news topicals, teases, coverage spots and POP's. Individual must have strong writing abilities combined with strong communication and people skills. Experience editing video in a nonlinear environment is a must. Candidate must be able to work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines. Individual must work closely with newsroom staff, attending meetings and collaborating with producers and reporters. They will also work with the Design Department in ordering and reviewing graphics. Candidate must have 2-5 years major market writing/producing experience. Title: Creative Services Director
Requirements: Creative Services Director - 7 NBC and CW56 in Boston. Candidate will be responsible for the overall on-air look and marketing efforts of this New England duopoly. The Creative Services Director must be able to work closely with the News Department to manage daily requests and monitor quality control of graphics within the newscasts. Ideal candidate will also oversee daily teases, topicals, continuing coverage spots and POP's. A strong understanding and ability to interpret broadcast ratings and station research is needed. They will oversee the design, execution and maintenance of the station’s website and manage a marketing plan to support and drive traffic to the site. Individual must also be able to execute a marketing plan to attract incremental syndication and co-op dollars to promote programming. The CSD will be challenged with utilizing their personal and technical skills to execute key projects and develop a strong creative team. Ensures all on-air/off-air and overall advertising and promotional efforts are positioned to meet the station's strategic objectives. The C.S.D. will supervise all art direction and graphics, as well as oversee all community relations efforts. A college degree and 5 years of management experience is required.

Title: Account Executive
Requirements: AE will generate new and service existing local accounts, ensuring all financial goals of TV station are being exceeded, while developing and maintaining relationships with agencies and clients. Must have the ability to manage and enhance direct relationships with agencies and clients to promote station image and perception. The ability to identify the needs of advertisers and prepare custom sales presentations with solutions to those needs is necessary. Responsibilities include; developing and creating new programs to maximize revenue from existing clients, continual development of new business revenue streams. Maintaining a customer friendly attitude and dedication to customer needs, being prepared with all information needed (including historical budget, last years’ share, this year’s budget, targeted share for day-parts used or any other historical or present information) that sales management requires to make sound and informed business decisions. A Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or equivalent related experience is required. Requires analytical and technical skills to analyze specific sales situations. Experience with “One Domain”, “CMR”, “Matrix” and “OSI” software applications a plus. Must demonstrate the effective recognition, oral and written communication skills to influence external contacts. Requirements: Produce weather graphics, analyze data from National Weather Service and other sources, assist Meteorologist in developing forecast and related content for weather segments; expand and maintain regional network of weather spotters; work with on-air weather team and graphic designers to develop innovative, creative ways of illustrating weather stories. Title: Nightside Satellite Coordinator
Requirements: Position will include coordinating all feeds to and from WHDH-TV and all trucks in the field, as well as NBC and CNN and all affiliates. Satellite Coordinator must excel at organizing many different elements especially in breaking news situations. Desk experience is a must, as coordinator will be assisting the Assignment Editors each night and filling in for their shifts on an as-needed basis. Experience in Avid Media Manager a plus.

Requirements: Operation, repair and maintenance of broadcast equipment to the component level. SBE certification and FCC license preferred. Experience in maintaining analogue and digital broadcast equipment, including non-linear and linear editing systems, cameras, beta cam sx systems, video file servers, network integration's system, microwave and satellite systems. Thorough knowledge of Windows/Mac/Unix/Linux based operating systems, LAN/WAN platforms. TCP/IP. 2-5 years of maintenance experience in television broadcast preferred.

Excellent word processing skills (MS Word), good organizational and communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in an extremely fast-paced environment. 1-2 years administrative assistant experience with some college preferred.

The ability to operate Microwave trucks is preferred. A demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet all deadlines is required. Non linear editing experience is a plus. A Broadcast Communications degree, and or technical training is required. A clean driver's license is also required.
