GET TO KNOW NANCY
What's your favorite food to eat while watching football? There's nothing that hits the spot like some chips and guac!
Do you have any football watching rituals? A Saturday afternoon--or morning!--spent tailgating with friends is one well spent. I love firing up the grill before a big game, especially one with my USC Trojans!
Song that gets me dancing...Can't resist the Macarena--and is it too trendy if I say "Gangnam Style"? We have dance parties in the morning sometimes to start the day off right!
If you could trade lives with someone for a day who would it be? Cliche, I know--but the President of the United States. I would love to get access--even if it's just for a day!--to classified information and find out the answers to some burning questions.
Favorite part of working in news? Having the opportunity to meet a wide spectrum of people and help share their extraordinary experiences. Feeling awed by what people have the capacity to do--for better and for worse. The excitement and adrenaline rush of breaking news. Getting the chance to see history being made up close. Sorry that was more than one part!
What is something you wouldn't leave the house without? Now that I live in New England--an umbrella!
What is always in your refrigerator you cannot live without? Avocado. I slather it on everything!
What is one thing about you most people would be surprised by? That I'm from Oklahoma! I'm Texas born and Oklahoma bred.
Book I've read over and over: The Iliad. Love how it takes on a whole new meaning each time. Oh, and the Harry Potter series! I've read each one ten times--at the very least.
Last meal on earth: The most amazing dumplings I've ever had from an obscure, hole-in-the-wall shack in Beijing.
Movie that makes me cry: Sarah's Key
Movie I've watched over and over: It's a Wonderful Life. Every Christmas Eve!
I'm known for...being energetic early in the morning and also for taking people to some good Chinese restaurants!
