Sarah anchors the weekend editions of 7NEWS at 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and 7NEWS at 10 on CW56.
Sarah French is an Emmy award winning anchor/reporter. She's covered everything from the Olympic Games in Beijing to the destructive aftermath of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
After the murder of her dear friend and colleague, Alice Morrin, Sarah became an advocate for domestic violence victims. Sarah worked with Connecticut legislators, trying to pass a 911 texting bill in Alice's name.
In 2010, Sarah was awarded the “Excellence in Local Television Award" by the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association for an hour-long special called “Gay in America: Tensions & Tolerance." That special focused on several teens who killed themselves after being bullied.
Sarah is very involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She also loves to visit schools.
Prior to working with 7NEWS, Sarah was the morning anchor at WTIC-TV in Hartford, Conn.
Sarah is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She was Miss Missouri 2006.
Sarah is a proud member of Cherokee Nation. A few years ago she spoke at the National Trail of Tears Conference.
